Yes. Allergens are listed in bold on our ingredients list which can be found on the product listing via our online shop, and on the product packaging. All our meals may contain celery, crustaceans, eggs, fish, gluten, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame, soy and sulphites.

Meals should be stored as soon as possible after delivery in a freezer at a temperature of at least -18 degrees Celcius. If the product defrosts but is still below 5 degrees Celcius, store in a fridge and consume within 24 hours (cooking time may vary, always ensure food is piping hot throughout). Meals should not be re-frozen once thawed.

If your meals have been stored in the freezer then you can refer to the best before end date on the packaging. If you have stored your meals in the fridge then they should be consumed within 24 hours.

All of our meals are to be heated from frozen. Some are microwavable and some are oven cook only. Heating instructions can be found on the packaging.

Our children's range of meals is designed for age 1 year+. For children aged over 4 years and depending on their appetite, you may want to add an extra side to fill up their tummies.

Our family range of meals is designed to be enjoyed by adults and children, aged 1 year+.

Our kid’s meals are either 200g or 250g and contain 1 serving.

Our family meals are either 1.4kg or 1.6kg and are designed to serve 2 adults and 2 children (as a guide).

We have worked with our Dietitian to ensure all our meals are nutritionally balanced for children and can contribute to a healthy balanced diet for adults too - whichever dietary type your family follows.

Recycling is so important to us!

CPET is the material of choice for ready meals due to its superior functional properties and the unique way it combines food safety and circularity. Each of our CPET trays from Faerch is, on average, made from 70% recycled content and can be fully recycled into new food grade products again and again.

Our cardboard sleeves and the cardboard box that your order is delivered in are also fully recyclable. 

Unfortunately, the plastic film that is used to seal our trays is not currently recyclable. We are looking at ways in which we can improve on this, but for now, please remove the film from the trays before putting them into your recycling bin. 

The fleece liners in our boxes have so many uses! Here are some handy tips and tricks on what they can be used for:

• Protection for plants/flowers/trees from frost

• Keeping drinks/food cold on the beach

• Donation to homeless or animal shelters

• Van/Car lining

Our fleece liners are held in MDPE plastic, so if you do wish to recycle them then this can be done in normal plastic household waste. The wool insert is 100% biodegradable and compostable so it can be placed into normal household waste bins and will dissipate within 6-12 months of going to landfill.

Our water ice packs can be reused too - perfect for lunch on the go! Alternatively, they can be poured down the sink, and the outer plastic can go into normal household plastic waste.

If your box contains dry ice, always wear protective gloves to handle this product. To dispose, leave it in the paper bag, and put it in a well ventialted area for 12 hours. Then simply pop the bag in the recycling.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.

We currently deliver to England, Wales, Scottish Lowlands and Isle of Wight.

At the moment there is no delivery to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Scottish Islands.

For orders up to £50 our delivery fee is £4.99. Orders over £50 qualify for free delivery.

Our current delivery day is Friday.

If you have ordered by midnight on Tuesday your order will arrive the same week, otherwise, your order will arrive the following Friday.

Our delivery partner DHL will confirm your delivery slot via email on the morning of delivery.

If you're not home our delivery partner will leave your box in a safe place, however, as our products are frozen we recommend being at home for delivery and getting them into the freezer as soon as possible, particularly during the warmer months.

We do not accept returns due to the nature of our products. However, if you believe the product to be unsatisfactory please take a photograph of the product and get in touch at info@thefamilyfoodco.com and a member of our team will be able to review this for you.
